He is an experienced expert with valuable engineering experiences in design, building and consulting sectors. He graduated as a civil engineer from reputable Hanoi Civil University in 1977 before getting a graduate course in civil engineering of dams in Australia (1990) and an honour master degree in project management granted by the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in 2009. He has more than 35 years in construction industries in civil, industrial, irrigations and power sectors.

His hobbies are travel and golf.

He can speak Vietnamese as a mother tongue and can use English and Chinese
